Is Activision Working on a Video Game Based on Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series?

Geez, the Activision rumor mill sure is spinning today, isn’t it? The above image was captured at the 2012 Toy Fair and lists a strategy by Playmates Marketing that claims it’s working with the publisher on licensed material to tie into Nickelodeon’s new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. The last major publisher to have the rights to the franchise was Ubisoft, but that ship sailed in 2010. Previous to that, Konami was responsible for all Ninja Turtles games and, if you remember, delivered the hit Turtles in Time.

It seems the pizza-eating sewer dwellers are enjoying a bit of a resurgence lately, what with this new Nickelodeon series, another film on the way and now the possibility of a new video game. Check out the promo art in question below, courtesy of Toy Ark.
