Alan Wake 2 was definitely a huge announcement during last night's The Game Awards 2021 but watching the trailer, you might've asked yourself is that Jake Gyllenhaal on the screen?

When it was launched back in 2010, Alan Wake received mostly positive reaction as a brand new IP coming from the director behind the first two entries of Max Payne.

Now, after 11 years since the original game's launch, Remedy Entertainment is promising the arrival of Alan Wake 2 in 2023, something that fans have been waiting for long enough.

While the brief teaser trailer of Alan Wake 2 didn't reveal much about the game, but it did show the new face of Alan Wake who's got older now and looks very much like Jake Gyllenhaal, and maybe a little bit like Jared Lehto.

Is That Jake Gyllenhaal in Alan Wake 2 Trailer?

As far as we know, he is not Jake Gyllenhaal, but he does look like him more than he looks like the original game's Alan Wake.

While it could only be a coincidence, it might be a smart hint that maybe Remedy Entertainment is planning to invite Jake Gyllenhaal as the voice actor for Alan Wake in the sequel.

On the other hand, it could be related to a different project. So, if, for example, there is going to be a movie based on the Alan Wake series, and then Jake Gyllenhaal is about to play the protagonist, then why not make the in-game character looks like him?

Alan Wake 2 will be available in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The PC version of the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store as Epic Games is the publisher of the game.
