Are you a "Souls" pro player, afraid that Bloodborne might be too easy for you? Fear not, as From Software is going to give you a early chance to give yourself a sizable handicap at the beginning of the game. As a matter of fact, you can do that even before you start.

IGN's coverage gave us a glimpse on the Origins we can select, and on their western names, but (probably because it was an older build) it didn't showcase the actual stats of each.

The first three origins all start at level 10 and the sum of the other stats is 60. The only real variation in balance is the number of starting Blood Echoes (the game's currency used to purchase equipment and is part of the process to upgrade weapons), and that's a rather small difference anyway.

The last origin is named "Waste of Skin" (the Japanese name is even more explicit, translating to "Shouldn't Have Been Born") is different.

Not only it starts you at level 4 and with almost no Blood Echoes, but it's the only origin (at least among those we saw so far) that begins the game with a stat total of 54, which combined with the lower level will probably make the game a lot more brutal close to the outset.

It'll be interesting to see just how hard the beginning of the game will become for those who will select "waste of skin" as their origin. I have to admit that I'm tempted. Raising from zero to hero is always fulfilling, isn't it?
