Is Chrono Trigger Getting a Sequel? UPDATE: No

By Alexa Ray Corriea

February 27, 2012

The Chrono series may not be all wrapped up. Square Enix has registered the domains chronobind.com and chronobind.net, and nothing tips us off more than the spelling of “chrono” that this might be a title in line with beloved RPG Chrono Trigger.

What with the recent wave of Chrono Trigger ports, the idea of a new entry into the series into too impossible of an assumption. The Nintendo DS port sold almost 800,000 units and both Android and iOS versions are wildly popular.

UPDATE: “Chrono Bind” is not, in fact, a new game, but the name of a card game in an upcoming DLC pack for Final Fantasy XIII-2. This is doubly disappointing.
