Who Is Agent 19 In Marvel?

In the world of Marvel, Agent 19 is a part of the S.H.I.E.L.D organization, with her real name being Barbara Morse, sometimes also known as Mockingbird.

Barbara was originally born and raised in San Diego, California before attending the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduating with a PhD in Biology and Technology. Following on from her education years, Morse went on to join Project: Gladiator, a programme that was aimed at recreating the super-soldier serum originally used on Captain America.

The project was backed by S.H.I.E.L.D and they eventually went on to train Morse as a spy, thus creating 'Agent 19'.

Is Clint Barton's Wife Mockingbird In Hawkeye?

Unfortunately, there's no set yes or no answer on whether or not Laura Barton is actually Agent 19, Mockingbird. During the finale of Hawkeye, Clint returns the missing watch to his wife and reveals that the back of the watch has the number '19' scribed into it, along with the Agents of Shield logo.

This heavily implies that as the watch belongs to Laura Barton, she is in fact actually Agent 19, Mockingbird. However, things get a little confusing as Agent 19 is already portrayed by Adrianne Palicki in the Marvel TV show, Agents of Shield. Many believed the show to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which would mean that Laura Barton is not Agent 19 as the character already exists.

But, many fans are now speculating that the Agents of Shield TV show simply isn't part of the universe, opening up the possibility for Laura Barton's backstory to reveal that she is Agent 19, Mockingbird.

Unfortunately, for the time being, all we can do is speculate on the matter, as no confirmation was given in the Hawkeye finale. Season 2 is yet to be confirmed by Marvel, but we're all hopeful that another season will soon be on the way so we can finally discover whether or not Hawkeye's wife is Agent 19.
