Dialga and Palkia are two Legendary Pokemon that players can expect to see a lot of over the next few months.

The two are the featured Legendaries for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, a pair of games that is getting a remake at the end of this year.

Until then, those eager to catch the duo will have to settle for Pokemon GO, where they are reappearing as part of GO Fest's Raid Day.

With so many Legendaries returning, however, it's worth considering whether Dialga and Palkia are good and if you should be raiding them, or something else.

Can Dialga and Palkia be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

These two are part of only a small handful of Legendary Pokemon that can't currently be Shiny in Pokemon GO.

They've not been in raids too many times historically, so their time has never really come. I'd expect to see their shiny forms released as part of some crossover with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl when they release. It's also a possibility they could arrive as one of the ultra bonuses from GO Fest.

For those interested in what their Shiny Forms look like, you can check out the (slightly hopeful) embedded tweet below:

Is Dialga Good in Pokemon GO? What's its Best Moveset?

Dialga is the dual Steel/Dragon-type Legendary that certainly has a place in the PVP meta.

While it doesn't qualify for the Great League and is pretty pointless in the Ultra League, Dialga shines in the Master League.

Pokemon ranking site PVPoke ranks Dialga as the third-best Pokemon in the whole division. It holds its own against many other Dragons, can defeat the Dragonslayer Togekiss and beats some of the league's other top Pokemon.

Be sure to get as many XL Candies as possible if you are looking to use Dialga. And know, if you do, you can't go far wrong, especially with the following moveset:

  • Fast Move - Dragon Breath
  • Charge Move - Iron Head
  • Charge Move - Draco Meteor

Is Palkia Good in Pokemon GO? What's its Best Moveset?

Much like Dialga, Palkia is only really viable in the Master League, but doesn't make quite as much of a splash as its Steel-type counterpart.

That doesn't mean Palkia's bad by any means, in fact, it's good. It's very good. Just Dialga is better.

PVPoke has Palkia at 23rd place in the whole of the Master League, taking out the likes of Mewtwo, Yveltal and Garchomp for good measure.

Its best moveset is as follows:

  • Fast Move - Dragon Tail
  • Charge Move - Draco Meteor
  • Charge Move - Aqua Tail
