Is DualShockers Working? Of Course It Is.

Earlier today, paragon of professionalism IGN posted an “article” that seemingly gloated about the fact that the PSN was still down, and yet XBox Live was still up and running perfectly.

Yes, if you’ve noticed, that link above goes to a webcached version of the scribblings, because shortly thereafter IGN went down. The ironing is absolutely delicious, and while IGN is now up again (unfortunately), DualShockers has been sitting pretty here this entire time.

Is DualShockers Still Up?

Here’s a list of things you can do:

  • Download the newest ShockCast episode, which was not only hilarious, but informative and not fanboyish in any way.
  • Check out the new trailer for Ubisoft’s Child of Eden, without any intrusive banner ads and pop-ups in the way.
  • Communicate freely with the staff via Twitter as if they were regular folk, and not some bigger-than-life Internet rockstars.
  • Browse articles about indie games that give off an air of genuine interest and no “DGAF” attitude.
  • Read reviews of games like Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat and not feel like your overweight, diabetic cat could’ve written a better review.
  • Sleep soundly knowing that you won’t have to pay $50 a year to get the best content on this website.
  • Know that if DualShockers ever goes down (like it has before), we’ll try to keep you guys updated as much as possible, and won’t leave you on a sour note.

[Thanks for the tip Wade!]

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
