My Hero Academia Season 6 is in Production

The entire anime community would be delighted to know that we are definitely getting My Hero Academia Season 6.

After the broadcast of Season 5 Episode 25 in Japan, the show creators officially confirmed Season 6 of My Hero Academia. In fact, the studio released a new TV teaser to announce the upcoming season. Here you go: take a look at the Season 6 teaser yourself:

According to a recent report, another season of this fantastic anime series is already in production. Apparently, the latest edition of Weekly Shonen Jump teased the state of Season 6 by sharing this exchange of dialogues between Shigaraki and Deku:

  • Shiggy’s line: “I’ll destroy everything”
  • Middle line: “The war between heroes and villains is approaching”
  • Deku’s line: “I’ll use everything I have to stop you”

The MHA manga series is way ahead of anime in terms of story. Also, considering the incredible success of the first seasons, it’s no surprise that creators want to continue the anime. Also, judging from how Season 5 came to an end, it’s safe to say that MHA season 6 would adapt the Paranormal Liberation War arc from the manga.

Does My Hero Academia Season 6 Have a release Date?

Unfortunately, there’s still no confirmation on Season 6’s possible release window when writing this article.

Nevertheless, there was one year gap between Season 4 and Season 5. So, if nothing goes wrong with the production, it’s safe to assume that we’ll get Season 6 of My Hero Academia in the second half of 2022.

How Far Ahead is the MHA Manga From The Anime?

The My Hero Academia manga is way ahead of anime in terms of story. Season 5 of the anime adaptation concluded right after stepping into the Paranormal Liberation War story arc. In the manga, that story arc starts with chapter 253 and has already finished at chapter 306. So, it’s most likely that Season 6 of the anime would complete the Liberation story, and by that time, it will have more than enough material for the seventh season.

Currently, the manga community is enjoying the next story arc, Tartarus Escapees Arc. This story covers the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War and is still ongoing.
