Is 'My Name' Season 2 Officially Confirmed By Netflix?

The first season is now available to stream on Netflix.

The first season of ‘My Name’ Korean TV show is available for everyone to stream. Now, everyone who has watched the series wants to know if Netflix will release Season 2 of the new K-drama.

Directed by Kim Jin-min, My Name is one of the latest Korean television series to watch on Netflix. The show flaunts an incredibly talented cast, including Han So-hee, Park Hee-soon, and Ahn Bo-Hyun. Netflix announced the show back in August 2020 and started filming the same year in September. Finally, after wrapping up in February 2021, the streaming platform released My Name on October 15th, 2021.

Besides incredible storytelling, My Name features some amazing action sequences. So, it’s no wonder that fans want to see more of Yoon Ji-woo’s story through a second season.

Will My Name Get a Season 2?

After binge-watching all eight episodes, fans can’t wait to get another season of My Name. But unfortunately, when writing this post, there’s no official announcement regarding the show’s second season. Director Kim Jin-min hasn’t expressed his interest in the continuation of My Name through another installment. Similarly, all cast members are also tight-lipped and haven’t revealed anything around Season 2.

Of course, it’s been only a few hours since the show has arrived on Netflix. So, the show creators might reveal if they plan to continue Yoon Ji-woo’s story after looking at how the first season has performed.

What’s The Plot of My Name?

My Name follows the journey of Yoon Ji-woo, who becomes a member of the Dongcheon organization. The young girl follows a path of revenge after finding out that her father was murdered by a cop. So, she takes the risk of infiltrating the Narcotics department by becoming a cop. There, she does everything in her power to find out her father’s killer. However, as she deep dives into the workings of the underworld, things only get more difficult for her.
