A new Spotlight Hour is coming to Pokemon Go today (September 14) and it is set to feature an increased spawn rate for nonother than Baltoy, but fans are eager to know if he can be shiny.

Between the hour of 6PM and 7PM, Baltoy will be appearing in Pokemon Go at a much higher frequency as well as responding much more frequently to Incense.

But will there be a Shiny Baltoy for players to get their hands on during the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour?

Is There A Shiny Baltoy in Pokemon Go September Spotlight Hour 2021?

So we all know that Baltoy will be appearing at an increased rate during the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour, but will it be possible for a Shiny Baltoy to appear?

Thankfully, the answer is yes! Baltoy can appear as his Shiny variant and does indeed have the chance to appear during the September Spotlight Hour.

Unfortunately, the frequency of Shiny Baltoy hasn't been increased, only the spawn rate of standard Baltoy.

But with that being said, Double XP will be available for catching a Baltoy during the Spotlight Hour on September 14th.

What Is The Difference Between A Shiny Baltoy and A Normal Baltoy?

So, what's the difference between Baltoy and Shiny Baltoy?

It's important to know the physical difference between the two for today's Spotlight Hour.

Bolty appears with a much more brown colour palette, with a lighter shade of brown for the body and salmon pink accents around the eyes and stomach.

Whereas Shiny Baltoy appears in a much brighter palette. Players will notice that Shiny Baltoy has an almost yellow tint with a turquoise accent around the eyes and stomach.
