Pokemon Go receives tons of new events with the start of month, and with October kicking off, players are quite eager to know what the month has in store for them.

This month is quite remarkable for Pokemon fans, as an all-new Pokemon movie is all set to release in the next few days. To no surprise, we have a movie tie-in event in the game as well to celebrate the launch.

Alongside that, we have the usual events, ranging from Raid Hours to Community Days and Spotlight Hour. Here is what you need to know about the first Spotlight of October!

Is there a Shiny Drifloon in Pokemon Go October Spotlight Hour 2021?

Every Tuesday, the Spotlight Hour event takes place in the game from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. During this period, a particular Pokemon will spawn more often in the wild. This is quite a nice way to add some exciting Pokemon to your collection.

For the first week of October, we have Drifloon as the featured Pokemon in the Spotlight Hour. Drifloon is a Generation 4 Pokemon and hails from the Sinnoh region. It is a Ghost and Flying-type Pokemon and evolves into Drifblim.

Like always, players have the question about whether the Pokemon will be shiny or not. Well, the good news is Drifloon is indeed shiny in Pokemon Go. However, you will still have a hard time finding a shiny Drifloon, since it is still quite rare, and shiny spawn rates aren't boosted by the Spotlight hour event.
