Pokemon Go is all set to add Mantine in the June Spotlight Hour and fans are curious to know whether it is shiny or not in the game.

For the second week of Spotlight Hour of 2022, Niantic is bringing Mantine as the featured Pokemon in the game. The event will start at 6 pm local time and will be going on until 7 pm local time. During the course of the event, players will be seeing Mantine more often in the wild, which provides them a great chance to catch the Pokemon and earn some candy. Along with that, players will be getting twice the amount of candy they usually get for transferring Pokemon to Professor Willow. So if you are looking for some Pokemon candies, this is probably the best time to get some more.

Mantine is a dual-type Water/Flying Pokemon hailing from the Johto region and added all the way back in Generation II. It evolves into Mantyke and was seen quite frequently in the anime and the games.

Coming to the shiny status of Mantine in Pokemon Go, the good news is that a shiny Mantine indeed exists in Pokemon Go. If you see a Mantine that has a brighter blue color than the regular one, then it is a shiny variant. Do note that shiny rates of the Pokemon stay the same during this event, so it is still really hard to get your hands on a shiny Pokemon. But, keeping in mind the fact that the spawn rates of the Pokemon increase significantly, one should be able to get a shiny if they try to take part in the entirety of the event.
