For the second Spotlight Hour of May 2022, we have Numel as the featured Pokemon. The event starts at the usual 6 pm local time schedule and will be lasting until 7 pm local time. Since there is only one hour for which the event lasts, players should be pretty quick to ensure that they are able to make the most of it. There is a bonus as well like every week, and it is a pretty different bonus this time around. If you transfer your Pokemon to Professor Willow, you will get twice the amount of candy you usually get. So if you have any Pokemon you wish to transfer to Professor Willow, you can save it until the event kicks off and get some extra candy without breaking a sweat. During the course of the event, you will be seeing Numel more often in the wild, so it is a pretty great opportunity to catch Numel if you don't have it in your collection already.

Is There A Shiny Numel in Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour May 2022?

Numel is a dual-type Fire and Ground Pokemon which was added in Generation 3 and hails all the way from the Hoenn region. It looks like a snail, and you'd recall it from the Game Winning Assist! episode from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Don't let its appearance deceive you as it is a very powerful Pokemon that has a pretty strong evolution as well in the form of Camerupt.

When it comes to the shiny status of the Pokemon there is some bad news as there is no shiny Numel present in the game at the time of writing this article. We don't really know when a shiny Numel will be added to the game but one can expect it to happen in some big event.
