This will be the second last Spotlight Hour for the month of September, and we have Skitty as the featured Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Skitty is a Normal-type Pokemon that was added in Generation 3 and belongs to the Hoenn region. We have received other Pokemon in the Spotlight Hour this month as well, including the likes of Baltoy and Spoink. This is a good chance for players to catch Skitty who don’t have it already.

Skitty evolves to Delcatty using the Moon Stone. However, in Pokemon Go, you don’t need to go through that hassle and can easily evolve it by feeding it 50 candies.

Like every week, Skitty’s spawn rate will be doubled during the course of the event since it is the featured Pokemon. Alongside that, the amount of candy you receive for catching Pokemon will also be doubled during the event.

Now comes the real question, is there a shiny Skitty in Pokemon Go? Well, we have some good news as a Shiny Skitty indeed exists in Pokemon Go. As usual, don’t expect the shiny variants to spawn any more frequently than the normal ones, so you will still have a hard time finding one.
