Sledgehammer Games might have taken the helm with Call of Duty: Vanguard but the popular Zombies mode has been crafted by the team that started it all, Treyarch Studios. So considering the developers that know Call of Duty Zombies better than anyone else, there's sure to be an easter egg in Vanguard's first map, Der Anfang, right?

Now that Call of Duty: Vanguard is finally live around the world, fans are jumping into the new Zombies experience and discovering everything it has to offer. Many of which are wondering if there's actually an easter egg to be discovered. Well, here's the answer.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies 'Der Anfang' Map

As mentioned previously, Call of Duty: Vanguard is officially live worldwide and that means a brand new Zombies experience to dive into. Currently, the only map available to play is 'Der Anfang', which aims to take the popular Zombies mode in a slightly different direction.

Wolfram Von List is the main antagonist of the new chapter in the Dark Aether storyline, who has formed a bond with Kortifex the Deathless through the power of Dark Aether Magic.

Der Anfang is the beginning of the fight to bring down Von List and Kortifex, use the new Altar of Covenant to unlock 32 special upgrades to aid you in battle, as well as the classic pack-a-punch machine and mystery box.

But aside from completing objectives and upgrading your weaponry, is there an easter egg to be found?

Is There An Easter Egg In Vanguard Zombies?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, there is currently no mainline or side quest easter egg to be found on the Der Anfang Vanguard Zombies map. This has caused quite the upset in the Call of Duty community, as there also appears to be no Wonder Weapon available on the map either, two fundamental parts of the Call of Duty Zombies experience.

However, Treyarch Studios are set to expand on the Vanguard Zombies experience as we progress through the seasons. Fans can likely expect new maps to arrive in future seasons, along with easter eggs and more.

But for now, there are no special easter eggs to be found in Der Anfang.
