The last few hours have been pretty crazy for Titanfall 2 fans as a spreading rumor warns people that the game has been hacked and is capable of affecting the client computers with malware attacks.

Update: Respawn Entertainment confirmed that there is an exploit in Titanfall 2, but they believe it's not something big that could damage user-end systems.

Original Story: Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends servers have been under attack by hackers several times in the past, however, this time around, it seems like there is something suspicious going on on Titanfall 2 that could damage users even more.

At this moment, we can't really suggest you anything regarding the game other than not running it for the next few hours at least. While the rumor doesn't seem to be legit, it's wise to stay away from Titanfall 2 servers until an official Respawn or EA representative reacts to the matter.

What's the Real Story? Is Titanfall 2 Hacked?

A few hours earlier, a Titanfall fan page on Twitter with almost 3.5K followers shared a screenshot from a Discord message where someone named DirectXeon warns everyone to stay away from Titanfall 2 PC servers as the game has been completely hacked and could damage the user-end systems.

It's yet to be known who is this Discord user and what channel reports this, but the screenshots turned into a big gaming trend soon after being shared by the Titanfall Forever page.

Do You Need to Uninstall Titanfall 2?

As we said earlier, it's completely unknown to us whether it is a reliable source or not. Up until now, no one from either Respawn Entertainment or Electronic Arts has responded to this rumor.

We don't suggest installing the game entirely, but you can avoid joining the game servers for now until we find out about the origin of the rumors.

What makes fans worry about this is the fact that the game has been under heavy hacker attacks previously, which makes it possible for a large-scale attack that could even end up in real damage for players.

While some players have started to worry about Apex Legends, it's safe to say that at the moment there are no threats for Apex servers.
