Eevee and its evolutions are undoubtedly some of the most popular Pokemon in the entire series, so it goes without saying that when it was confirmed that the Evolution Pokemon would be returning for a second Pokemon GO Community Day, players were happy.

Like in August 2018, players now have the opportunity to encounter an abundance of Eevee’s in the hunt for Shiny versions and ones with high IV’s to ultimately evolve into powerful evolutions.

Two of those evolutions are Umbreon and Espeon, who originated in Pokemon Gold and Silver’s Johto region.

But, are Umbreon and Espeon good in Pokemon GO and should you be evolving your high IV Eevees into them? Let’s take a look.

Is Umbreon Good in Pokemon GO? Best Moveset and PVP Details

Umbreon is without a doubt the second best Eeveelution in Pokemon GO.

According to PVPoke, the Dark-type Pokemon is the 33rd best Pokemon in the whole of the Great League – picking up wins against some troublesome opponents including Skarmory, Altaria and Swampert.

Umbreon’s performance in the Ultra League is even better, coming in at 19th place overall, this time beating Giratina, Cresselia and Charizard.

The biggest downfall for Umbreon comes in the Master League, where it isn’t really worth using. It comes in at 265th place.

If you do plan on running Umbreon in the Great or Ultra Leagues, here is its best moveset:

  • Fast Move – Snarl
  • Charge Move – Foul Play
  • Charge Move – Last Resort

It should be noted that this year’s Community Day move, Psychic, isn’t considered one of Umbreon’s best moves, at least until it reaches the Master League.

Is Espeon Good in Pokemon GO? Best Moveset and PVP Details

Unfortunately, Espeon is significantly the worst of the Eeveelutions.

Once again, according to PVPoke, it comes in at 670th in the Great League, 472nd in the Ultra League and 309th in the Master League. There is no practical use for it in PVP, however, it is a decent choice in some PVE battles.

If, for some reason, you decide to use it in the GO Battle League, this is Espeon’s best moveset:

  • Fast Move – Confusion
  • Charge Move – Psychic
  • Charge Move – Shadow Ball
