Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit are certainly three of the most unusual Legendaries in Pokemon GO, at least in their behaviours.

When the Pokemon are in Raid Battles, they can only be encountered in their own specific regions with Azelf located in the Americas/Greenland, Mesprit in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India and Uxie in the Asia/Pacific region. Not only this, but the three can also appear in the wild, just extremely rarely!

Thankfully, for those who have yet to encounter them, the Lake Guardians return to Raids until the start of October, albeit in their usual regions (thanks Remote Raid Passes).

However, are Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit good and if you already have them, should you gun for more? Let's take a look.

Is Uxie Good in Pokemon GO? What is its Best Moveset?

In short, no, no it's not.

Despite being eligible, Uxie fails to make an impression in any of Pokemon GO's PVP leagues.

PVPoke ranks Uxie as the 319th best Pokemon in the Great League (despite beating Azumarill, Medicham and Venusaur), 173rd in the Ultra League (beating Togekiss, Articuno and Lapras) and 280thth in the Master League.

If you do want to take a chance with Uxie, its best moveset is:

  • Fast Move - Confusion
  • Charge Move - Future Site
  • Charge Move - Thunder

Is Azelf Good in Pokemon GO? What's its Best Moveset?

If you thought Uxie's numbers were bad, Azelf takes them to a whole new level.

It's ranked as the 680th best choice in the Great League, 487th in the Ultra League and 359th in the Master League. Fill your 'dex and move on, unfortunately.

If you're still interested, Azelf's best moveset is:

  • Fast Move - Confusion
  • Charge Move - Future Sight
  • Charge Move - Fire Blast

Is Mesprit Good in Pokemon GO? What's its Best Moveset?

You guessed it, Mesprit isn't any better than the other two Lake Guardians.

It comes in 648th in the Great League, 441st in the Ultra League and 291st in the Master League.

Mesprit's best moveset is as follows:

  • Fast Move - Confusion
  • Charge Move - Future Sight
  • Charge Move - Blizzard

Are The Lake Trio Worth Your Time?

Unfortunately, if you hadn't guessed, all three of these Pokemon are not very good.

Absolutely fine for those filling their Dex, however, for those looking to gain an edge in one of Pokemon GO's PVP modes, you're better looking elsewhere.
