In a new video pertaining to the gameplay elements of WWE ’13, the developers take gamers through some of the major changes being made to the overall experience; two of which will impact the audio of the game and major aspects of the in-ring gameplay.
WWE Live is the name given to the overall auditory experience of the game. The developers have promised a louder, more reactive, and more authentic crowd than ever before. Due to the Attitude Era being a major piece of the game, commentary will be split between the current pairing of Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, and the pairing of Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross of the Attitude Era (personally, I always preferred the pairing of Jim Ross and Paul Heyman, but you cannot always get what you want).
The Predator 2.0 Engine has been tweaked to include more situations in the ring that are more akin to the action that we have seen in recent years. Notable additions include the ability to reverse an opponent’s airborne attack into a finisher, as well as the overall destruction of the ring when two gigantic opponents slam each other.
WWE ’13 is being developed by Yuke’s and will be published by THQ for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii on October 30th, 2012. The video is available for viewing below.
