I’ve Got a Fever and the Only Prescription is Rhythm Heaven

Forget Rhythm Heaven Wii; It’s Rhythm Heaven Fever now, bub. And guess what else? It’s officially got a release date! The latest Nintendo Power sheds light on the issue, as reported by Joystiq. Mini games — can you really call them that? — so far include sequences that involve monkeys, seesaws and a date with a bunch of soccer balls. Actually, you protect your date from vicious soccer balls, but what’s the difference, really?

The original DS game, while not without its flaws, was a wonderful experiment in quick, quirky musical gameplay. It’s exactly the kind of game that set the handheld apart from many of the other experiences you could have on home consoles. Either way, Rhythm Heaven was always a fun way to waste a couple of minutes getting your groove on.

I know I’m looking forward to this. Maybe not as much as that Wii U Shield Pose demo, but it looks fun nonetheless. Don’t take my word for it: Even Allen’s all over it.
