Arc System Works launched a new trailer for the upcoming adventure detective game Jake Hunter: Ghost of the Dusk, coming to Nintendo 3DS on August 31 in Japan.

The trailer reintroduces players to Jake Hunter (or Tantei Jingūji Saburō in Japan), a 32 year-old detective. The game's release date was chosen to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary, most entries were never localized.

The only entry in the series to be localized was 2009's Jake Hunter Detective Story: Memories of the Past, but still, the game has gained a small followed of visual novel and mystery fans.

Jake Hunter: Ghost of the Dusk is being developed by key staff members who have worked on the series since it first began

Earlier this year, Arc System Works acquired Jake Hunter's IP holder, WorkJam, making this new release possible.

In case you missed it, the publisher recently released the game's opening movie showing main protagonists and story scenes.
