Japan Gets More Nintendo 3DS Colors

By Kenneth Richardson

Nintendo’s uber-popular Nintendo 3DS will soon be available in two new colors. In Japan, anyway. These shades are Gloss Pink and Light Blue, and they’ll be available from March 20th. A couple of things stand out as a bit odd about these colors. First and foremost, the Light Blue color looks almost identical to the Aqua Blue 3DS model, which was apparently discontinued in Japan. Secondly, the basic Nintendo 3DS – and not the newer, bigger and generally more efficient Nintendo 3DS XL – is getting these new colors, which seems a bit backwards to me.

Furthermore, these consoles will come bundled with a 4GB memory card, unlike previous models which included a 2GB memory card. Think either of these colors will make it out of Japan?
