Japanese Manga Magazine Teases “Important” God Eater Announcement, Probable Anime Series Incoming

The PS Vita/PSP action RPG God Eater 2 is going to be released in Japan on November the 14th, and considering how long it has been in development and the resources Namco Bandai poured into it, it’s safe to assume that the publisher is going to pull all the stops to promote it.

The Japanese seinen manga magazine Dengeki Maoh seems to be part of it, as it just published a teaser splash page (that you can see below), where it announces the next chapter of the God Eater – The 2nd Break – manga for the October issue (that is going to be released on September the 27th). But there’s something else that’s even more interesting. Just under the announcement there’s a box where you can read: “New God Machine Climax. And there is an important announcement!!”

The most probable topic of that “important announcement” is an upcoming anime series. That kind of announcement is often teased this way on magazines where a manga is published, and the period is perfect for announcements related to the spring 2014 anime season. An anime announcement made with that timing would also be perfect to promote the release of the game in November.

Now, will we ever get to actually play the game in English, and possibly watch the anime itself? That’s a question that most probably won’t find an answer for a while, ¬†unfortunately.
