Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released to praise from publications everywhere. Yes, it might not have been the absolute greatest thing to come to earth like the burrito, but it was essentially the Star Wars game us nerds had been wishing for for quite some time. That being said, the game went on to sell incredibly well for EA which is leading into the development of a new franchise for the company.

Per IGN, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, confirmed that Fallen Order will be the start of a new franchise. This, of course, means that we will inevitably get our hands on a sequel in some time.

Wilson stated during an earnings call that the "first title in an entirely new franchise." One can presume that we will see the sequel on next-gen consoles.

Fallen Order went on to amass more than 10 million players across all platforms and greatly deserved all of its success. The game was a mix of Dark Souls (yes I know everyone refers Dark Souls to everything), Metroid Prime, and basically everything else we would want in an action game involving lightsabers. I did wish that I had a bit more time in the game, but isn't that a sign of a great game? Always wanting more?

Well, my wish has come true because the game has just received a big update that includes new combat challenges and cosmetics. To top that off, it is free! The update introduced a new mode called Meditation Training that allows Kal to fend off waves of enemies and bosses in different worlds from around the game and I am really looking forward to hopping into it.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Make sure to check out DualShockers' official review of the game right here.
