Excited is how I would describe my feelings for Bioware's Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. Why wouldn't it? Star Wars Galaxies left a bad taste in my mouth, and this much fresher take on the series by developer Bioware isn't only looking amazing, but it is also taking the MMO genre to new heights.

From day one, we all knew that Star Wars: The Old Republic would indeed have the Jedi Knight class. Why wouldn't it? It would be pretty stupid to have a Star Wars based MMO without the appealing Jedi to play with; they are the reasons a lot of fans play the games. But, it was just recently that the developer confirmed the character class and published some details about it on their official site.

You can check out videos of some Jedi stuff going on; things like deflecting incoming projectiles with their trusty lightsabers, "Force" throwing stuff (i.e. the boomerang throw they're known for), and using Force push to knock back enemies and push their asses back.

Of course, Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars if the Jedi didn't have an opposing Sith nemesis, which will also be available in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Three classes have yet to be revealed and many, like me, are a bit ecstatic as to what they may be. Yes, folks. I am a hardcore fan of Star Wars movies and games (play Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast if you haven't grasped a good Star Wars game yet). This is good news all around for me. Is there anything that you're looking forward to?
