Kumiko Albertson in The Simpsons

Jenny Yokobori is the current voice of Kumiko Albertson in The Simpsons. Kumiko is a mangaka and the wife of Comic Book Guy. Kumiko is a pretty old Simpsons side character, so you probably know her even if you've also haven't watched a single episode in over a decade.

However, It's very likely you've actually missed Jenny Yokobori voicing her. She only took over the role a few months ago, when Kumiko reappeared in episode 695, which aired in January 2021. (And yes, Simpsons is Anime when you consider the Japanese sense of the term).

Elice in Fire Emblem Heroes

Elice is originally from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. As in, the first Fire Emblem game. She's protagonist Marth's older sister and one of the playable characters. Fire Emblem 1 already got several remakes, but if it gets another one, it'll be the first time Jenny Yokobori would be voicing Elice in her original story.

There are several characters in Fire Emblem Heroes that have yet to be voiced in a mainline game. I'm personally hoping to see a remake of Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War soon, with all the seiyuu (Japanese voice actresses and actors) from Heroes.

Kuromi and Cinnamoroll in Hello Kitty and Friends Supercute Adventures

You definitely know about Hello Kitty. The franchise by Sanrio is popular worldwide, but there are many other characters in the series besides Hello Kitty herself. Kuromi and Cinnamoroll are among these characters.

Sanrio regularly organizes collab events in Japan with various game and anime franchises. During these crossover events, merch of the characters cosplaying as Sanrio characters are usually released. The latest to date is a collab event with Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, part of the Pretty Series by Takara Tommy.

The reason why I'm bringing this up is that Kuromi and Cinnamoroll are always included in these collabs. White imp Kuromi, with its distinctive hat with a pink skull symbol. And white, long-eared fluffy rabbit Cinnamoroll. These two are actually some of the most popular Sanrio characters, and among the most popular anime characters in Japan altogether, alongside Hello Kitty. You might not realize it, but these two are actually among the biggest roles Jenny Yokobori managed to nail.

Pupil in Akudama Drive

Akudama Drive was an anime project aired in 2020, helmed by Kazutaka Kodaka, the scenarist of Danganronpa. In fact, the Adventure series' character designer, Rui Komatsuzaki, also handled the characters of Akudama Drive.

Inspired by Quentin Tarantino's movie Reservoir Dogs, the anime is set in a dystopian future, using anti-heroes as its protagonists. You should definitely check it out if you like Danganronpa. Recently, Kazutaka Kodaka also launched World's End Club with the other developers at Tookyo Games.

Kari Hudo in Cris Tales

This is the latest role Jenny Yokobori did. Kari Hudo is one of the characters of Cris Tales, the JRPG released July 20 on PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Cris Tales is known for its particularly cool character design, heavily inspired by the works of Shingo Araki on classic anime such as the original Saint Seiya. With its original time travel mechanics, it's definitely one of the games you want to try out this summer as a JRPG fan.

That's all the roles we have for Jenny Yokobori. The Yoimiya teaser trailer has been released as well, so we can hear her voice a bit more. For now, we've already seen Yoimiya quite a lot, in the Archon Quest and in her Character Quest. Do you plan to pull Yoimiya? What do you think of Inazuma so far?
