Jessica Chobot has been a noticeable personality in the video game industry for almost ten years, working with known outlets such as G4 and IGN, and most recently, a guest-starring role in BioWare's Mass Effect 3. That role, landed her in a bit of hot water, as gamers and even some video game professionals felt that her concurrent employment with IGN and G4 represented a conflict of interests.

As part of a feature over at Polygon, Ms. Chobot was candid about her side and her feelings in relation to the role, as well a brief thought as to the use of the term, "game journalist." "I saw myself as a host. I think 'game journalist' is used very loosely in this business," she said, "BioWare never asked me for any favors in regards to any kind of additional or good reviews. I've never gotten contacted by them at all for any of the stuff. And, I wasn't even reviewing the game in the first place. I don't give game reviews. I've never given a game review."

Ms. Chobot is currently working as writer on Daylight. The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and PC in Q1 2014.
