Update: This article has been updated to include the original source of the meme. Thanks to @StuartWebstar for pointing me to the correct source for the meme of Joe Biden and Skyrim.

On January 20, 2021, Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States of America through the Inauguration that was televised throughout the day. The inauguration took place before noon where President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris stood before the world and were sworn in, hands on the bible and everything. Later that day, Joe addressed the nation while standing inside the Lincoln Memorial, and one person saw Skyrim meme potential.

YouTube channel, WebSTAR saw a meme opportunity for Joe Biden's introduction. As you can see from the embedded video below, it shows a camera going through the Lincoln Memorial entrance and finally stopping in front of Biden waiting patiently, just as the televised footage showed. But by throwing Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim UI on the screen, it gives the shot a whole new style.

The video has pretty everything you'd expect from Skyrim. The first-person feeling floaty camera, the footsteps crunching with the movement, the compass marker at the top of the screen while also being animated to fit, the "new location discovered" pop-up, and even the objective marker above the President of the United States. What ties this together even more. is the "A to talk" prompt that activates Joe saying, "Hello".

I'm not sure about you, but I'd also have liked to have seen a level-up bar appear upon discovering the Lincoln Memorial as that used to be how I lazily levelled up my character. But it's sure to bring a chuckle to those who are fans of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

While The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development, Bethesda is now also working on an Indiana Jones game, but it's been said that development on the next installment in the franchise wouldn't be hampered by Indiana Jones.
