John Swan And Dream Clash Over Reddit Accusations – What Happened?
Here's a recap of the drama between John Swan and Dream.
I really am not sure why you brought this to twitter in response to a post on a random subreddit on a comment with 20 likes, but I can assume it's just for attention. I will reply anyway though because you're being unreasonable.

Who Is John Swan?
John Swan is a commentary YouTuber from Australia. His channel began in 2014 but his first YouTube video didn’t come until 2017. Swan became popular for exposing other YouTubers and celebrities. His channel began gaining traction after exposing YouTuber Suzy Lu. After the success of his video, Swan targeted Chris Hansen, shooting his subscriber count up to one hundred thousand.
Who Is Dream?
Dream is a gaming YouTuber that is best known for his Minecraft content. In just over a year, Dream grew his YouTube channel to over 10 million subscribers. His channel is now of the fastest-growing channels in the history of the platform. Dream is well known for not revealing his face throughout his YouTube career and still remains mysterious since joining the site in 2014.
What Happened Between The YouTubers?
The drama between the two YouTubers began over a year ago when John Swan published a video titled “The Rise, Fall and Resurgence of Minecraft“. The video briefly featured Minecraft YouTuber Dream. After the two had spoken via Discord for the video, Dream claims that John Swan was impersonating Dream.
Whoever it was impersonating Dream reportedly began sending inappropriate and racist messages to his fans. John Swan claims that he accidentally left his Discord open at a friends house, they then took control of his account and began sending the hateful messages. This was apparently settled between the two in private, via Twitter DM’s.
Fast forward to more recent times, John Swan claimed to be releasing a video about Dream on CordWit’s YouTube Channel. As of writing, the video is yet to be posted. Dream went on to make a Reddit comment regarding the YouTube video, in which he brings up the previous impersonation drama from the year prior.
But the fun doesn’t end there, John Swan took the confrontation to Twitter claiming Dream was attempting to “smear [his] credibility”. The Twitter thread then essentially recaps what happened previously between the two.
Dream replied to the Twitter thread saying “I really am not sure why you brought this to Twitter in response to a post on a random subreddit”. Round 2 of the Dream vs Swan drama was finally finished when Dream stated he was “done replying to this. I would have responded had you DM’d me”.
