In an unassuming tweet, Developer Mike Bithell announced that he and his team have finished up development on John Wick Hex. The game is launching on PC early next month exclusively on the Epic Games Store. Thus far, no other platforms have been announced.

John Wick Hex is the latest game from the mind behind games like Thomas Was Alone and Subsurface Circular. Mike Bithell has teamed up with Good Shepherd Entertainment to bring this video game adaptation to life. You might assume, given the source material, John Wick Hex is going to be a fast-paced, first-person action game. You'd be wrong.

Instead, the game is an intriguing strategy game. Dualshockers was able to get our hands on the game back at E3 and came away very impressed. As you move John Wick around each level using the traditional point-and-click control scheme. When you get spotted by an enemy, you have a number of options available to you; however, this is where the game switches things up from games like X-COM.

All the enemies have an "action timeline", which tells you how close they are to firing off a shot at you. It's your job to quickly decide what you have time to do before they get their shot off. Should you dive to cover? Or can you kill them before they kill you? These twitch decisions make the game stand out from typical strategy titles, and make John Wick Hex a game well worth paying attention to.

John Wick Hex comes to PC via the Epic Game Store on October 8.
