Release date estimate for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean on Netflix
Warner Bros Japan Anime and Shueisha revealed a release date estimate trailer for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean this August 8. And while part of the details announced at the event was leaked beforehand, such as the seiyuu voicing the main characters, we still learned a ton of details.

The event started with MC Chiaki Matsuzawa and Fairouz Ai chating about the series. Fairouz Ai most notably recounted how much of a huge JoJo fan she is and how Jolyne is her favorite character ever.
Next, we got a quick intro of the story, and how Jolyne will ultimately put an end to the Joestar Vs Dio feud in this Part. Following that the staff was introduced.
Kenichi Suzuki is the series director. He worked on Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusader as series director. Toshiyuki Kato is the director. He was the series director for Diamond is Unbreakable, and director of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan.
Yasuko Kobayashi is the series composer for Stone Ocean, and was the series composer from Phantom Blood to Golden Wind. Masanori Shino is the character designer, working on a JoJo anime for the first time. Masanori Shino also drew the new key visual.
Stand Designer is Shunichi Ishimoto who handled sub chara design on Diamond, chara design on Kishibe, and chief animation director on Golden Wind. The sound director is Yoshikazu Iwanami. Yugo Kanno is the composer and previously worked on Stardust Crusaders, Diamond, Kishibe, and Golden Wind.
Animation production for JoJo Part 6 is David Production like all the past seasons. Following that, we got to see the trailer. And right after, two seiyuu joined the stage. Mutsumi Tamura, voice of Ermes Costello, and Mariya Ise, voice of F.F.

Together with director Kenichi Suzuki and Ai Fairouz, the two of them chatted about tons of interesting details, most notably regarding the recording. Kenichi Suzuki also mentioned it’s overall the same animators at David Production since Part 1 who are working on Part 6, alongside a bunch of new recruits, mainly women. The women of the staff all played a key role seeing the focus on female characters of Part 6.

Last but not least, the event revealed JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 Stone Ocean will be released on Netflix worldwide in December 2021. Meanwhile, the series will also be aired on TV in Japan starting January 2022.
A specific release day will be published at a later date. Probably a few weeks before December 2021. Be sure to keep an eye on the anime_jojo Twitter for future announcements.
