Developer Thunder Lotus Games has announced that Jotun: Valhalla Edition will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 27th, 2018 that brings over the acclaimed action-adventure game over to its first portable iteration.

The studio explained in its announcement that it has remastered and optimized Jotun for its Switch release and also has made gameplay optimizations and adjustments tailored to the system's handheld mode. Thunder Lotus Games president Will Dube said in a statement on the game's Switch version that "Playing a Thunder Lotus game on a handheld console brings me way back. One of my earliest gaming memories is passing the Game Boy back and forth with my brothers during road trips." Dube also stated that "I hope we can create similarly epic memories for new Vikings across the world!”

Pre-orders for the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for North and South America starting today, while Europe and Japan can pre-order the game on April 18th and 19th, respectively.

Jotun is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Mac, and Linux, and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 27th, 2018. For a closer look at the game ahead of its Switch release, you can check out the new trailer below:
