A Grammy certainly would have been a great addition to the Journey‘s ever-growing cabinet of gaming awards and recognition  The game’s score along with its composer, Austin Wintory, were nominated for, “Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media,” alongside The Dark Knight Rises, Hugo, The Artist, The Adventures of Tintin – The Secret of The Unicorn, and the winner, The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. While the game did not win, being nominated for the most prestigious award in music along with a Martin Scorsese film, Batman, and the Oscar’s choice for best film sure is an accomplishment for the medium overall.

“Obviously I didn’t work on #JourneyPS3 hoping to win a Grammy,” Mr. Wintory tweeted, “the entire point was the game itself and that’s gone beyond my wildest dreams.”
