Spoilers for the upcoming chapter were recently revealed online, and it commenced the battle between the two powerhouses, with Gojo overpowering Sukuna with a powerful attack. However, the battle has just started, and we all know, Sukuna has multiple powerful attacks under his sleeves.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 223 will be released on Sunday, May 21st at 8:00 AM PT, exclusively on the official website of Viz Media and Manga Plus. Given the chapter's simultaneous release, the release time will vary depending on your location:

What Happened Previously On Jujutsu Kaisen?
The previous chapter started with Uraume apologizing to Sukuna for not being able to locate the last finger. However, Sukuna was cool about it and stated that Gojo has the last finger, which he hid so as to convince the higher-ups to delay Yuji Itadori's execution. Uraume was furious at Gojo for putting her to shame in front of Sukuna for the second time. However, Sukuna revealed that he could compensate for the last finger using mummification.
On the other hand, Kenjaku asked Kogane how many players had died due to the removal of the Cursed Technique, to which he replied that sixty-one players had died. After a deep discussion on life between Kenjaku and Kogane, the scene shifted to Gojo, Shoko, and Ijichi.
Gojo expressed his remorse for Nanami's death, stating that he was the kind of guy who could survive any situation. Ijichi apologized to Gojo for Nanami's death, wondering if he should have been the one to die and not Nanami. However, Gojo chided Ichichi for such ill thinking.
The next panel showed Mei Mei, who was currently checking a gambling website where people were betting on the battle between Gojo and Sukuna, and she was happy to make good money out of it. Meanwhile, Yuji and Kusakabe were engaged in a friendly battle, where the former easily overpowered the latter. On the other hand, Inumaki and Yuta discussed about the former's arm, which he lost due to Sukuna.
Now the date was December 24th, when the battle between Gojo and Sukuna was to take place. Kenjaku decided to take care of the Culling Game players while Sukuna fought Gojo and stated that if it wasn't for Sukuna, Gojo would have killed him. He also commented that if Gojo died and the other sorcerers wanted to eliminate Sukuna, then it could only happen after his fight with Gojo.
Other sorcerers discussed what they should say to Gojo before he went to fight Sukuna. However, as soon as Gojo entered the picture, everyone hesitated to approach him, given his sinister aura. But Yuji stepped up and told Gojo that his CT was in the way, after which Gojo smiled and let all his friends come close to him and motivate him.
