Anyone who’s been a gamer for the last few decades will have gone through dozens of Dragon Ball games by now, undoubtedly, playing through the same stories we all know and love a few hundred times. Fans should be able to quote the series as if it were Shakespeare by now. But then Namco Bandai Games Europe comes along with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z attempting to break the bold with something new, which is exactly what the JUMP FIESTA 2014 trailer tries to prove.

As you can see below, the newest trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z shows why the game hopes to be awesome, giving players the largest multiplayer-based gameplay of any DBZ game before besides perhaps Dragon Ball Online. Besides giving players a ton of characters (including the newer God Goku and Bills characters), gamers can expect a slew of multiplayer modes, giant boss battles, character customization, and cooperative special attacks.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z will be available January 24th, 2014 on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita. For more on the game, check out all of our Battle of Z news (including our NYCC Preview), and check out the Namco Bandai Games Europe website and Team-Up website.

He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
