Jurassic Park Dominion Pyroraptor Dinosaur Explained

The best thing about Jurassic Park movies is that they introduce a variety of dinosaurs. And by the look of the trailer, it's clear that the new movie is set to follow the ongoing trend. One of the various dinosaurs that are going to appear in Jurassic Park Dominion is Pyroraptors.

The director of the movie, Colin Trevorrow, confirmed the appearance of the species of Raptors, including Pyroraptors. He said that "I love the Pyroraptors. I love the Atrociraptors. There's a little one called the Moros Intrepidus, who doesn't do a ton in the movie, but whenever it shows up, I always love it."

Let's learn a bit about these special kinds of raptors called the Pyroraptors whom the director himself claims to be one of his favourites. First things first, the name Pyroraptor means 'fire thief'. This species of dinosaur used to be small in size but are really fast runners. Only a few bones of the Pyroraptors were available but they were enough for scientists to do their radiometric dating and explore more about these amazing dinosaurs.

In the movie, the Pyroraptor is shown with fully grown fur-like feathers all over its body and has also grown wings. They are shown to be carnivorous creatures with a height of 8 feet and are born from eggs. They can also be created in Jurassic World: The Game.

Jurassic Park: Dominion is set to release in cinemas on 10 June 2022.
