Today is a landmark day for Just Cause 4 news. Sure, the game got leaked by Steam a tad ahead of E3, but that isn't stopping developer Avalanche Studios from hyping the new title. And while earlier today we got a ton of details about the nation of Solis, the brand new trailer just revealed by Square Enix focuses on the newly-developed Apex Engine.

In case you missed it, Avalanche Studios is transitioning the Just Cause series into a new engine. And yes, the new engine showcases everything the game has to offer graphically. The trailer below highlights a few things, including an extended draw distance, beautiful foliage, improved lighting, HDR compatibility, and advanced extreme weather effects.

Apart from the sheer looks of Just Cause 4, the Apex Engine also improves the destruction physics in the game. You know, the most important part of a Just Cause title.

As mentioned above, the announcement of the game was accidentally revealed via a Steam listing. Avalanche Studios and Square Enix would later officially announce the game prior to E3.

Just Cause 4 will release on December 4, 2018 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Anyone hyped for the game can already pre-order on Amazon. Check out the trailer below:
