After yesterday's reveal at the Microsoft E3 2018 Press Conference, everyone was expecting more news on developer Avalanche Studios' Just Cause 4. Thankfully, Square Enix did not disappoint at their E3 showcase, highlighting a ton of new details in both story and gameplay sections.

Some of the changes include improved AI that will keep the player guessing. On top of that, there is unparalleled draw distance according to the movie-announcer soundalike in the trailer.

Other improvements include improved weather effects, with tornadoes and lightning taking center stage in the gameplay showcase. The game takes place on the fictional South American country of Solis and is, apparently, the largest and "most breathtaking" world Avalanche has ever created.

The physics themselves -- one of the highlights for the Just Cause series -- is getting improvements, including the grappling system. It will now be customizable and somehow more intuitive for newcomers.

The road to E3 was a weird one for developer Avalanche Studios, given that Just Cause 4 was leaked nearly a week ahead. Specifically, the game showed up on Steam well before it was confirmed, mostly with just a promotional image. The game was later confirmed at Microsoft's E3 Press Conference with a new trailer and a behind the scenes video.

Just Cause 4 will release on December 4, 2018 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Anyone hyped for the game can already pre-order on Amazon.
