Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation Adds 1014 Years Old Oni Kanna

Unlike all the new girls exclusive to Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation added so far, Kanna is a supernatural being like Nyotengu and might make an appearance in Dead or Alive 6.

The latest update of the Japanese version of Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation added another new girl, an Oni named Kanna. Her defining traits are her horns and fangs. Despite being 1014 years old, she has a childish, selfish personality and joined the island because she wants to own it, along with the player. Kanna’s seiyuu is Naomi Ohzora, who recently voiced Amies in Super Robot Wars T. She speaks using archaic words like Nyotengu, but in a different way overall.

Kanna’s addition is pretty interesting. She’s another supernatural being like Tengu and Nyotengu, and as an Oni, she definitely knows how to fight and has monstrous strength. Unlike all the new girls exclusive to Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation so far, she might actually make it to Dead or Alive 6 one day. Only time will tell.

The official site was also updated with her profile:

Job: Unknown
Age: 1014 years old in human age
Blood type: Unknown
Birthday: Unknown
Food preferences: Candy Apples, Takoyaki, Cotton Candy, Cola
Hobbies: Unknown
Height and three sizes: 149 cm, B75 W56 H79

Along with Kanna, Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation now has 6 exclusive characters: Misaki (who’s also in Scarlet) Luna, Tamaki, Fiona, and  Nagisa.

Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation was recently released in English via Steam in Southeast Asia. The game is region locked though, plus there are reports of it being censored, and as it just launched, it’s unclear if it’ll get proper support with new costumes and events happening as fast as the Japanese version. You can read our slightly outdated but still trusty guide if you’re like to try out the Japanese version.

A new version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, titled Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet was released this March on PS4 and Switch. The game’s Asian version has an English translation, and the PS4 version has a powered-up VR mode for owners of PS4 Pro. However, a few features got removed compared to the previous PS4 version and Switch version, possibly because of Sony’s new stance on sexual content which ends up getting a random handful of Japanese games overly censored. You can read more about it here, with the official table comparing the game’s versions. A free-to-play version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet is also supposed to launch exclusively on Switch before the end of 2019.

Kanna’s trailer, a shot of her 3D model, and the usual cute SD illustrations are included below.
