Earlier today, it was announced via the Call of Duty official twitter that Katheryn Winnick will be part of the cast in the Nazi Zombies feature of the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII.The famed actress is known for her roles in Bones, and most recently the History channel's hit series Vikings. Her role in Vikings likely helped prepare her for her role in Call of Duty: WWII's zombies mode, as she has experience with period pieces, as well as the action and war genres. Winnick will be playing Marie Fischer, opposite Elodie Yung's Olivia Durant and David Tennant's Drostan Hynd.

Though it is unclear if Winnick will be taking the stage alongside Yung, her character will nonetheless be revealed alongside the zombies world reveal that is taking place on Thursday, July 20, at San Diego Comic Con.

You can read about the casting of Elodie Yung, the actress most recently known for playing Electra in Marvel's Daredevil, who was revealed yesterday here. You can also check out the reveal of David Tennant, the tenth Doctor, who was announced the day before.

The twitter countdown to the world reveal of Call of Duty: WWII's zombies mode will likely continue to announce actors that will be playing a role in the mode's narrative, though it is still unclear if we will be seeing the traditional four character cast, or if the game's notable villains will also receive casting announcements.
