Kazunori Yamauchi attended a Gran Turismo 6 stage event at Taipei Game Show, and during the event he also answered a few questions from attendees and local media, including one on Gran Turismo 7, as reported by Game Watch.

Pinged on when the seventh chapter of the series will be released, Yamauchi-san responded:

Although our resources are currently focused on updating Gran Turismo 6, we're also looking ahead. We'll be able to announce it at some point in the future.

During the presentation Yamauchi-san also introduced a yet unnamed new track coming to Gran Turismo 6. The course will feature considerable variation in elevation and will be set in a coastal environment, showcasing the contrast between the sea and the nearby mountains.

Most notably, the new track will be the longest in the history of the series, with one lap measuring 27 km. It will overtake the combined Nurburgring circuit that is just south of 26 km long.
