Want to know what it means to sacrifice a friend? According to legendary and outspoken game designer Keiji Inafune you’ll have to play Soul Sacrifice, that will be released for the PS Vita on April the 30.

In a video released by Sony Computer Entertainment today Inafune explains more of the “Sacrifice” theme behind the game, and lets us know that during co-operative gameplay players will be able to sacrifice everything they have, including their comrades, to continue playing. He describes it as an emotional aspect of the game that “has never been done before”.

It is an interesting concept, but you better be careful when you do it in local multiplayer. If your friend gives you the evil eye after he puts the console down, you may want to check if he’s hiding a baseball bat behind his back.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
