For Ken Levine and the rest of the team at Ghost Story Games (which was once Irrational Games), silence has largely surrounded the developer for the entirety of this generation. Since downsizing back in 2014 and later rebranding, the studio has been toiling away on a secretive project which we learned last year was an immersive sim. Fortunately, based on some new information that has now come about, it seems as though we might not be that far away from learning more about this title.

Seen by GameSpot in a new job listing, it sounds as though Ghost Story's upcoming game might be further along than anticipated. The role, which is for a senior producer, says that the project is a "sci-fi based FPS with RPG elements," which sounds a whole lot like BioShock. Additionally, the game was described as being in "later stages of production."

In the time since GameSpot first spotted this job post, however, the description has been changed to say that the game is merely "still in production" rather than annotating that it is in late stages. With this in mind, perhaps the notion that it is later on in production was either untrue, or it was information that someone didn't want the general public to know about just yet.

Regardless of how far along the game actually is, it would stand to reason that we could hear about it at some point in the near future. For those who haven't been following this game's quiet development over the years, it has been in the works for quite some time. Considering how quiet Ghost Story has been up until this point and the fact that more information is starting to leak out, it only seems like a matter of time until we get our first official look at just what this is going to be.

If Ghost Story's next project was to get revealed at some point before the end of the year, The Game Awards 2020 seems about as good of a spot as any that I'd keep my eye on for a potential announcement.
