KFC Genshin Impact - New Restaurant Photos Reveal Collab in Action
Is there a Paimon emergency food menu for the Genshin Impact KFC collab?
The Genshin Impact collab event with KFC has finally started in China, and Genshin Chinese players have been sharing photos of the restaurants on social media Weibo. We have over a dozen photos to let you appreciate the collaboration, imagine yourself going there, and wish you could actually go. Sadly, you’ll have to make do with a virtual visit.
The KFC restaurants participating in the Genshin Impact event have been decorated with huge decals. Some are the new KFC-themed skins for Diluc and Noelle, which we already saw a while ago. Other include the main characters’ official artwork.
The interior of the restaurants also include huge cardboard cutouts of the characters. Alongside several goodies. Artwork from ver 1.1 and ver 1.2 are also used as decoration.
Stamps for WeChat, basically China’s Line app, were shared as well.
The KFC Genshin Impact collab was first leaked in February. The collab was fully revealed during the Genshin Impact livestream introducing ver 1.4 Invitation of Windblume, which you can read the details of here.
When will the KFC skins get added to Genshin Impact?
It’s unknown when costumes or skins or whatever you want to call them, will ever be added to the game. However, In the past, miHoYo hinted that a housing system, a farming system and a skins / costume system will be coming at some point. Just don’t expect to see it anytime soon. And remember, miHoYo has actually been pretty fast with the new updates and content. It’s not even been half a year yet since Genshin released. Making alternate costumes work in a 3D game is a lot of work. So we can surely wait a bit more.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open world action JRPG, available on PC, PS4, PS5 via backward compatibility, and Mobile. The game was also announced on Switch, but has no release date on the platform yet.
