Today Arc System Works announced a collaboration with Studio Trigger to launch Kill la Kill: The Game.

Developed by APLUS, the game is scheduled to release in 2019. The genre is defined as “KLK Battle Action” and platforms have not been announced. It will support either one or two players.

We do get a TV commercial with the reveal, and a batch of screenshots, which you can see at the bottom of the post.

If you’re starving for more details, we won’t have to wait too long, as a further reveal will come at Anime Expo 2018, which will be held in Los Angeles between July 5th and July 8th.  Kill la Kill Character Designer Sushio and Creative Officer Hiromi Wakabayashi will be in attendance.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kill la Kill, it’s a super-popular anime TV series by Studio Trigger aired between 2013 and 2014, characterized by extreme fights, lots of violence, and quite a bit of fanservice. This is the second game based on a Studio Trigger property following Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time by Bandai Namco.

Since the game has an English website, we can probably expect a western release.
