Since its debut with the original Xbox One back in 2013, Killer Instinct has quickly become a fan favorite and one of the console's best fighting games, with a new community survey pointing to the inclusion of several new characters that could be coming to the game in the future.

A community survey was sent out to fans by Iron Galaxy community manager Colt Yohman, with the survey including several potential new character options for the game that will "help in shaping the future of Killer Instinct."

Specifically, the survey included nine "all-new" characters for potential inclusion in future seasons of Killer Instinct, with the roster of potential new characters including Joanna Dark (from the Perfect Dark series), the Agent from Crackdown, and a bevy of other characters: Eagle, Wendigo, Magic Archer, Halo Brute, Djinn, Lovecraftian, and Eyedol (the final boss from the original Killer Instinct).

The survey also included listings for potential "reimagined" characters to be included in Killer Instinct, with options including characters such as Shadow Orchid, Aganos ENT, Sharman, Cinder (pre-transformation), and Kelvin.

While none of these characters are hard confirmations for inclusion in future updates to Killer Instinct, it's at least a good indication of where the series might be heading and who from Xbox's past may be able to make a return and duke it out in the ring.

Killer Instinct is available now in its third season on Xbox One and PC.
