If you’re a member of the preview program for the Xbox One system software, you can now help test the new Tournaments feature with Killer Instinct.

Torunaments are open to both alpha and beta testers, and if you’re among them, you can follow the steps below to get into the action, as described on the private preview forums:

  1. Launch the Xbox Insider Hub.
  2. Navigate to Insider content > Killer Instinct Tournament.
  3. Select Join.
  4. Download Killer Instinct from the Store.
  5. Navigate to the Killer Instinct Game Hub to view Tournaments.
  6. Register for a tournament.
  7. Check in when requested, and look for a notification when your match is ready. Results of matches are automatically reported.

Unfortunately, the feature won’t be available to absolutely everyone among preview members yet, and Killer Instinct Tournaments are open only to those coming from the following nations: US, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Brazil.

As usual with features in preview, we don’t yet know when Microsoft will make them available to Xbox One users outside of the preview program, but we’ll keep you posted on any news that will surface.
