Kind Words Players Have Written Over 1 Million Letters to Each Other; New Update Available Now

In celebration of 1 million letters sent between players, Kind Words has received an update with a new room and other new content.

Released in September 2019 on PC and Mac, Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to) delivered an unusual but heartwarming premise. Aside from featuring a relaxing, soothing space for players to enjoy, the game is centered around sending anonymous letters to other players for encouragement and positivity, with a new update bringing even more encouragement for an impressive in-game milestone.

Wholesome Games, an indie community dedicated to highlighting games with positive themes and non-stressful, relaxing gameplay, today broadcast its Wholesome Direct to showcase upcoming indie games arriving later this year and in 2021. As part of the presentation, developer Popcannibal shared some updates on Kind Words for players looking to relax and send encouraging messages to more players.

Popcannibal detailed that since the game’s release in fall 2019, over 1 million in-game letters have been sent by players to others anonymously, making for an impressive milestone for the indie game about kindness and empathy. To go along with this, the developer has released a new update that brings some additional content to the game.

Specifically, the new update for Kind Words introduced 10 new stickers that players can attach to their messages for other players. Additionally, the new update also includes a brand new room that players can utilize, new decorations (including an adorable frog), and other new cosmetic items. The update also features some new features and UI improvements, such as some tweaks to the game’s inbox, additional graphics settings and options, and performance options for those playing the game on older hardware.

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to) is available now on PC and Mac through Steam.
