In a small pocket of this great big thing we call the Internet, Donkey Kong Country fans collectively reached out to the father of Super Smash Bros., Masahiro Sakurai, to thank him for the inclusion of King K. Rool in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. You can check out the very heartfelt message down below:

While there's no doubt everybody has a special somebody they wish to have playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's impossible to deny that this is a game that's made for every type of Nintendo fan.

If you're unfamiliar with the King, he first appeared in Rare's iconic SNES platformer, Donkey Kong Country. He's essentially Donkey Kong's Bowser. While Rare has since departed from the series, it's still alive today on the Nintendo Switch's Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze... and by the way, it's also great.

If you're not up to date on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it was just discovered that players may be able to unlock various characters through amiibo. Also, if you missed out on the King K. Rool reveal, you can check it out right here.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on December 7. You can preorder the game on Amazon right now if you haven't already.
