What happened to Kingdom season 3?

The season 3 of Kingdom was first started in April 2020, but after four episodes aired, the series was delayed with the Coronavirus state of emergency in Japan. It greatly impacted the production schedule of several works, not necessarily limited to the anime industry.

The production committee of the Kingdom anime series announced back in December 2020 that season 3 would be back in April 2021. So when is Kingdom season 3 episode 5 releasing?

Kingdom Anime Season 3 Episode 5 Release Time and Date

It’s important to note Kingdom season 3 has started in Japan, but restarting from episode 1. The series is first airing in Japan on NHK, every Mondays, at 00:10 JST. Episode 1 was aired on April 5 at 0:10 JST / April 4 11:10 AM ET.

In other words, Kingdom anime Season 3 Episode 5 will only be aired on Monday, May 3, 0:10 JST / Sunday May 2 11:10 AM ET.

Funimation, who simulcasts the series in America, will release episode 5 on May 2 as well.

Kingdom is originally a manga written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara since 2006 in Shuukan Young Jump. There are 59 volumes in Japan so far. Before serializing Kingdom, Yasuhiha Hara was most notably the assistant of Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk, Vagabond) during the early years of wheelchair basketball manga Real.

The first season of Kingdom was .
